Cabins and Studios

Our cabins and studios are best suited for two adults per cabin. If you are travelling with a young child we do have two rollaway beds available (can fit one in each cabin and there is an extra charge). Each cabin and studio has one main room with a super king bed. The cabin beds can be made into twins – they are a bespoke design so they are closer split with a small gap in between. The studio beds can be split with more space. There are two very comfortable lounge chairs in each room. All cabins and studios have an ensuite (shower, basin and toilet). All cabins have exterior decks where you can enjoy being surrounded in native bush planting. Cabins have a small bench for tea/coffee etc with a mini fridge and one cabin is wheelchair accessible with a kitchenette (stove top, bench oven &/or microwave).

All cabins have access to the common spaces – Kitchen/ Dining Room with cooking facilities (BBQ, microwave, bench top oven, hotplates) and we have a large fridge with large covered bins for your personal supplies, a guest freezer and guest laundry ($4 a wash and $4 a dry – please bring $2 coins).

Off peak cabin rate is $160 per night & peak season rate is $180 per night.

Off peak studio rate is $140 per night & peak season rate is $160 per night.

Car parking is adjacent to cabins.

Te Wa Whakatā maintains a strict no smoking, no vaping and no pets policy in all indoor and outdoor areas.

Communal dining room

Our large shared dining room makes Te Wa Whakatā the perfect place for groups. There is ample space for up to 18 guests. We have an excellent compost, bokashi and recycling system in place. All of our bins are clearly marked to help you. On cold days you can enjoy using the log fire.

The dining room leads out to a large deck surrounded by native plants and the sound of the sea close by. This space is wheelchair accessible. The deck can be nearly fully enclosed. The dining room is also a great place for meetings, workshops and presentations for groups that book the entire site.
